The Wild Things series contains ten exciting novels, all set in Africa, and featuring the same characters. Afra, a passionate animal lover, is the daughter of an American father and an Ethiopian mother. Joseph, an ambitious thirteen-year old Kamba boy, is her foster-brother. Next door to them lives Tom, whose family has newly arrived from England.
In the pages of these novels, you will meet elephants, chimpanzees, rhinos, lions, parrots, and many more thrilling creatures, but you will also meet people: Maasai Warriors, smugglers, fishermen and big game experts.
I travelled all over Kenya with the support of the Kenya Wildlife Service, as well as into Ethiopia and Zambia, to research these stories.
